Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Children's Hospital Boston.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex imaging examinations while ensuring a safe environment for patients.
  • Review and evaluate requisitions for diagnostic imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining the appropriateness of procedures prescribed.
  • Identify patients according to hospital policy using two identifiers.
  • Select appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
  • Assess patients' and parents' physical and emotional status, developing a care plan for their specific needs.
  • Explain examinations and answer questions from patients and parents regarding radiation exposure, practicing ALARA.
  • Follow departmental QC/data integrity workflow and practice high reliability training.
  • Respond to patients' uniqueness, creating a supportive environment.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions through the INeedit application.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining daily operations.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the modality manager, chief technologist, or assistant chief technologist.

Requirements:

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • Meet, successfully complete, and maintain ARRT certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • Associates degree.
  • Three years of experience.
  • Current MA Radiologic Technologist license for general radiography.
