Job Summary

Regional Transit Service (RTS) is a regional transit authority seeking a skilled Bus Driver to transport customers safely and efficiently over specified routes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and safety of our passengers while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a bus or other revenue service vehicle to transport customers over specified routes, adhering to a time schedule and responding to radio or telephone relayed requests for service.
  • Assist customers with boarding and debarking the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Record activities on a trip log and report any malfunctions or issues with the vehicle.
  • Inspect the vehicle before departure to ensure it is in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Valid NY State Commercial Driver's License (Class A, B, or C) with passenger endorsement and no restrictions on passenger seating (preferred).
  • Clean driving record and at least 5 years of regular Class D driving experience required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment

As a Bus Driver with RTS Genesee, you will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, interacting with customers and colleagues on a daily basis. You will be required to sit for extended periods of time and may be exposed to natural environmental conditions, fumes, noise, and motorized vehicles.
