We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Procurement and Supply Chain Management to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in importing and contract management, with 10-15 years of experience in establishing and improving processes to synergize Purchasing, Inventory Management, Vendor Management, and Compliance Management teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a supply strategy that delivers the lowest total cost, reduces inventory, and maximizes customer satisfaction through world-class service. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a demand planning and import strategy
  • Establishing strategic parameters and processes across the purchasing team to effectively manage inventory levels
  • Providing leadership and strategic direction to the supply team, including Demand Planning, Procurement, and Inbound Transportation
  • Establishing performance benchmarks and working with suppliers through a scorecard system
  • Improving ROI with 3rd Party Freight Forward Service vendors
  • Ensuring serviceability and delivery deadlines are met/exceeded

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Business, or a related field. Additionally, they will possess strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to:

  • Interview, hire, and train employees
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise performance and reward employees
  • Address complaints and resolve problems

The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, intuitive, and strategic thinker with a mindset of continuous improvement. They will be a change-agent with the ability to drive improved team performance and implement industry best practices for forecasting, sourcing, risk mitigation, inventory, and vendor management.
