Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage moderate to highly complex geotechnical and construction materials testing projects from start to finish.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, including project and non-project related meetings.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, assist with marketing strategies, and bring in existing client relationships.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a technical or project-related team, provide work direction, and train junior engineering staff.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare proposals for geotechnical and construction materials testing projects.
  • Engineering Analysis: Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standards.
  • Report Writing: Prepare complex engineering reports, providing professional opinions and practical geotechnical solutions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering program required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Ten or more years of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing experience, with project management, client relationship management, and business development experience.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as a team member; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create, maintain, and communicate project budgets.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer registration/licensure in Kansas and Missouri; valid driver's license.
