Job Title: Lead Behavioral Health TechnicianJob Summary:

At Northern Children's Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a Lead Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a critical role in providing behavioral management interventions to children and youth with serious emotional disturbances, in support of their families and other responsible adults.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one behavioral management interventions to children and youth in assigned home, school, or community settings.
  • Carry out specific behavioral management interventions identified in the treatment plan for assigned children or adolescents.
  • Work with children, schools, families, and the treatment team to implement treatment plans and achieve desired goals.
  • Act as a mentor to other Behavioral Health Technicians and assist with their acclimation to the role and the school.
  • Collaborate with the Lead BC and Care Coordinator to evaluate the administrative performance of Behavioral Health Technicians.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
  • 2 years of experience providing Behavioral Health services.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with people in varied settings.
  • Familiarity with multiple child-serving systems (e.g., education, juvenile justice, child welfare, mental health, drug and alcohol, healthcare, and vocational rehabilitation).
Physical Capabilities and Work Requirements:
  • Ability to walk up and down steps.
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a calculator or computer.
  • Current valid driver's license and willingness to drive as needed.
  • Requires some flexible work schedule, evening, and weekend hours.

  • Knowledge and utilization of trauma-informed practices, including emotional intelligence, effective communication, understanding of the impact of trauma on human development, and use of person-first and strengths-based language.
