Alcanza Clinical Research is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Sub-Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting physical and medical history assessments, assisting with medical management of subjects, and coordinating daily clinical research activities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical and medical history assessments, and assist with medical management of subjects on research studies.
- Execute informed consent process and monitor patient status and safety.
- Collect and organize research data, schedule and conduct study-specific training, and educate patients and their families about treatments and possible side effects.
- Ensure patient welfare and rights as a research subject.
- Perform research protocol procedures, including physical exams, injections, IVs, medical history review, and assessments of vital signs, laboratory results, and adverse events.
- Participate in pre-study and site initiation visits, investigator meetings, and other customer-facing meetings.
- Assist site management with support in change management and process improvement.
- Assist and participate with new staff training and mentoring.
- Utilize and ensure the appropriate equipment is on-site for Universal Precautions.
- Work with the Principal Investigator to maintain high quality and patient safety.
- A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active license to practice as an advanced practice professional in the state of practice.
- 1+ years research experience is highly preferred.
- BLS/ACLS certified required.
- Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) proficiency is a plus.
- Full-time employees regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week are benefits-eligible.
