Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Mental Health

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Lake Correctional Institution in Clermont, Florida. As a LPN in our Behavioral Health department, you will provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to patients with physical and behavioral health needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain one required
  • Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Corrections experience not required
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
