Job Summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Transmission Line Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our transmission engineering and design team, you will be responsible for delivering safe, cost-effective, and quality engineering and design services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide transmission line design, engineering, technical support, and oversight to a transmission engineering and design team.
  • Provide technical competency and direction on complex engineering and technical problems for transmission line projects.
  • Lead discipline work for projects, perform engineering duties, and manage project schedules and budgets.
  • Support proposal development and project cost estimating.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university.
  • 1-3 years of experience as an Engineer with the electrical industry in the field of power delivery.
  • Prefer EIT, working towards Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Working knowledge of NESC, ASCE, ACI, and IEEE.
  • Ability to work alone or with limited supervision.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of electrical utility Transmission Line design experience with a working knowledge of High Voltage Transmission line design at voltage of 69kV and higher.
  • Technical competency or familiar with general aspects of Transmission Line utility design.
  • Ability to ensure that a complete design package is delivered to the client within budget and on time with a high level of quality.
