Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Workforce Development Manager to oversee the Vocational Education and Career Services programs at OMJCC. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients.

About the Role

The Program Director - Vocational Education will be responsible for managing and supervising vocational educational training and career services programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing communications and collaborative relationships with partner organizations
  • Recruiting and selecting program participants, coordinating client flow, tracking client participation, and delivering training, job placement, and retention services
  • Administering and tracking use of Emergency Client Assistance Fund
  • Attending meetings and/or trainings with stakeholders as needed
  • Overseeing and tracking Ohio Means Jobs or other County referrals for the culinary training program
  • Ensuring supervision and safety protocols are followed for Chopping for Change (C4C) participants

In addition to these key responsibilities, the successful candidate will also serve as the Clients Rights Officer for Workforce Development program participants and monitor continued validation of program by the American Culinary Federation.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as education, human resources, or business administration
  • Proven experience in workforce development, vocational education, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
