Warehouse Coordinator

As a key member of the Johnstone Supply team, the Warehouse Representative plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our store. This includes receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing, organizing, and retrieving stock and other items.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. They will also be proficient in using our inventory system and have basic math skills to manage and maintain inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage warehouse inventory and maintain database
  • Receive and process incoming product shipments and help unload delivery truck
  • Ensure shipments are inspected and damages are noted and documented
  • Initiate records as products enter and leave the warehouse through a computerized inventory control system
  • Store products in proper locations
  • Receive, pull, and properly prepare all customer orders
  • Utilize forklift, pallet jacks, and other equipment when needed to store or pull inventory
  • Monitor equipment to ensure safety and report any issues to the supervisor
  • Help load products on delivery truck or for customer
  • Ensure safety of the warehouse by keeping it clean and free of potential hazards
  • Assist with training of new employees

Requirements:

  • Valid PA/IN/OH/KY/WV driver's license with acceptable driving record for the past three years
  • Certification and continuous training required by material handlers to operate heavy-lifting machinery like forklifts
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Forklift Certified

Physical Demands of the Job:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and occasionally more
  • Ability to operate forklift
  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders
  • Ability to push/pull inventory items
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl occasionally in confined spaces
