Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Boiler Plant Operator to join our team at the Bellefield Boiler Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of the Boiler Plant during their shift, performing all task assignments for preventative and requested maintenance or repairs as directed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform boiler water testing and adjusting chemical treatment and blowdown as necessary
  • Test and place polishers and softeners into service
  • Assist with placing boilers into service
  • Lubricate all operating equipment
  • Check chemical tanks and inventory
  • Clean assigned equipment and paint as needed
  • Blowdown water columns
  • Lock-Out Tag-Out Duties
  • Replace light bulbs
  • Ability to walkdown and create one-line diagrams of the Bellefield Boiler Plant Systems
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • NIULPE Second Class Engineers License
  • Ability to work 16 hour shifts due to vacations and illnesses
  • Ability to work overtime in emergencies
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to loud noises, extreme temperatures, and hazardous materials. The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is also required.
