Job Overview

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician II plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and compliance of products or services within Silfab Solar. This position demands a higher level of proficiency and experience in quality control and assurance methodologies compared to a Quality Technician I.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting inspections of output samples utilizing industry-standard techniques.
  • Ensuring that production lines adhere to established standards and legal regulations.
  • Reviewing technical drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with produced items.
  • Documenting inspection outcomes by completing reports, summarizing reworks and waste, and entering data into the quality management system.
  • Providing training to the production team on quality control practices to enhance product quality.
  • Recommending enhancements to the manufacturing process.
  • Monitoring equipment usage to ensure safety and compliance, discarding any that do not meet standards.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and radiographs accurately.
  • Performing tests at various stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Gathering and analyzing statistical quality data.
  • Assisting in the formulation of testing methods and inspection protocols.
  • Identifying root causes of product defects and waste.
  • Verifying the calibration of all equipment.
  • Executing quality controls as per Work Instructions (WIs) on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
  • Proposing improvements to WIs to minimize waste and enhance product performance.
  • Enhancing the capability for thorough analysis and process improvement.
  • Continuously supporting production staff on WIs, quality, and process challenges in collaboration with management.
  • Generating statistical analyses and reports on the quality of raw materials and finished products as necessary.
  • Utilizing and maintaining measurement instruments in accordance with WIs and safety protocols.
  • Monitoring and recommending enhancements to management regarding production recipes throughout various process stages.
  • Auditing operations and suggesting improvements to quality control tools utilized in the production line.

Reporting
Providing regular updates to management regarding quality metrics and operational performance.
