Overview:

The Registered Nurse House Supervisor is accountable for overseeing and facilitating the efficient movement of patients through the hospital's care delivery services. This role acts as a vital communication bridge between the admitting department and nursing units, ensuring a seamless patient experience. The supervisor serves as a clinical expert, guiding both direct and indirect care processes, while providing competent leadership during hospital codes and crisis situations. Additionally, this position represents the department and hospital executives in their absence, promptly reporting any concerns or significant events to the designated administrative personnel on call.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • A minimum of two years of nursing experience, including supervisory roles in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Possession of a current Texas State RN license.
  • Certification in CPR (American Heart Association).
  • ACLS certification required within six months of hire or transfer.
  • NIHSS certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
  • Completion of de-escalation training within 90 days of hire or transfer.
  • Additional certifications must be obtained within specified time frames for designated facilities.
  • NRP certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer for specific locations.

Work Schedule:
