About the Role

The Radiology Manager will oversee the Radiology department, ensuring direct care to patients under the supervision of a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate radiology services, including diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Oversee staff in the operation of imaging equipment, such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, and Ultrasound equipment.
  • Accomplish radiology human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Meet radiology operational standards by contributing to strategic plans and reviews, implementing production, productivity, quality, and patient-service standards.
  • Meet radiology financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitoring expenditures, and identifying variances.
  • Support patient care by resolving radiology issues with physicians, radiologists, radiology technologists, and ancillary staff.
  • Improve quality results by evaluating accuracy and quality of images, providing technical assistance, and implementing new techniques, equipment, and procedures.
  • Provide statistical reports by controlling the collection of treatment and clinical data.
  • Provide a safe environment by monitoring radioactive exposure of staff and patients, keeping staff and patients safe, and controlling radium loading and handling techniques.
  • Update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional standards, and staying current with federal, state, and local requirements.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program with board certification in CT.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Able to make decisions based on established policies and procedures.
  • Electronic Medical Records Experience.
