Warehouse Associate

Our client, a reputable family-owned company, is seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate to join their team in the Central Western Suburbs. As a key member of the distribution team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of medical equipment to the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Picking and packing orders with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Assembling and labeling parts and packages for stock and orders
  • Un-assembling and assembling items such as wheelchair upholstery and components
  • Installing wheelchair accessories
  • Palletizing orders for shipment
  • Organizing and processing documentation for LTL shipments
  • Scheduling LTL shipments
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Utilizing material handling equipment such as hand trucks, platform trucks, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers while following all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Delivering medical equipment to clients in the Chicagoland area using vans and box trucks
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • 1+ years of previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of creating and scheduling LTL shipments
  • Basic hand and power tools experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs
  • Stand for 8+ hours
