PTR Assembler

NESCO Inc is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in a Production Specialist role. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that assembly requirements are fulfilled in accordance with production instructions, assembling products in accordance with approved procedures and assembly instructions, and verifying that materials used and the assembled part meet product and process specifications.

The Assembly Technician will work under the direct supervision of a Lead Assembly Technician and/or Production Supervisor to satisfy work assignments. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect quality of components that form sub-assemblies and assemble components per specifications or instructions.
• Verify quality of assembled components and ensure that they meet product and process specifications.
• Maintain expected progress of jobs in area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.
• Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly.
• Exhibit teamwork in all aspects of the job, maintaining a positive and team-based attitude.
• Support peers in times of high demand by working hours assigned and overtime as required.
• Comply with scheduled start/stop times and break periods for the facility.
• Notify the Area Supervisor or Quality Inspector/Engineer if non-conforming equipment is detected.
• Identify the suspected non-conforming part to prevent further use of it.
• Follow and use Job Travelers, routing, and shop instructions.
• Document all operations as required.
