NESCO Inc is currently looking for a skilled PTR Production Assembler.
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that assembly requirements are met according to the production guidelines provided. This role involves assembling products in line with established procedures and assembly instructions.
The assembler will verify that the materials utilized and the assembled components conform to product and process specifications. This position operates under the direct oversight of a Lead Assembler and/or Production Supervisor to fulfill work assignments effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly Operations:
- Conduct quality inspections of components forming the sub-assembly and assemble parts according to specifications or directives.
- Ensure the quality of the assembled components meets the required standards.
- Maintain expected job progress in the assigned area and communicate any issues or shortages of parts.
- Adhere to good housekeeping and safety protocols, ensuring that equipment, tools, and the workspace are kept clean and organized through diligent 5-S practices.
- Foster a collaborative environment by exhibiting teamwork and maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Support colleagues during peak demand periods by working assigned hours and overtime as necessary, while also adhering to scheduled start/stop times and break periods.
- Utilize personal protective equipment as required.
- Finishing Operations:
- Verify the quality of the sub-assembly before proceeding to the finishing stage.
- Ensure that completed units meet product and customer specifications as necessary.
- Notify the Area Supervisor or Quality Inspector/Engineer of any non-conforming equipment detected, identifying the suspected non-conforming part to prevent further usage.
- Follow and utilize Job Travelers, routing, and shop instructions, documenting all operations as required.
