Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide leadership, guidance, and education to patients and ancillary personnel. Your duties will include:
- Assessing physical, psychological, and psychosocial dimensions of patients
- Applying knowledge of illnesses, injuries, and diseases to obtain a health history and assess patients
- Providing leadership to nursing staff and paraprofessionals in patient care
- Reviewing and monitoring medications, maintaining charts and records
- Utilizing therapeutic communication skills and interviewing techniques to elicit pertinent historical information and make referrals
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong foundation in nursing practice, a current New Mexico Registered Nursing License, and current CPR Certification. A minimum of one year of clinical experience is required, with correctional nursing experience preferred. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.

Estimated SalaryBased on national averages for Registered Nurses in New Mexico, the estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
