Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and support housekeeping staff daily to meet or exceed cleanliness and operational standards.
  • Ensure timely turnover of all guest rooms, manage stayover reports, and communicate any discrepancies with the front office.
  • Provide coaching and recognition to team members as needed.
  • Understand and advocate for Great Wolf policies, collaborating with leadership on performance management.
  • Assist in staff scheduling, labor management, and forecasting.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff.
  • Create and assign daily tasks, oversee weekly projects, and optimize staff deployment for lodge cleanliness.
  • Conduct daily briefings with Room Attendants to prioritize tasks and gather feedback.
  • Report team feedback to management.
  • Inspect guest accommodations for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and supply levels, providing coaching to Room Attendants.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in linen storage, trash rooms, and housekeeping carts, ensuring safety standards are upheld.
  • Supervise staff activities to ensure compliance with resort standards, including time and attendance management.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of housekeeping personnel.
  • Assist in team meetings and plan engagement activities for staff.
  • Ensure timely communication of maintenance requests and other concerns to the appropriate departments.
  • Schedule deep cleaning and carpet care based on established timelines and guest feedback.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a Rooms Division or similar role.
  • Prior experience in hospitality or housekeeping, or equivalent formal education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general software systems, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with HotSos or similar systems is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven customer service, conflict resolution, and team-building abilities; must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a large family resort or hotel setting.
  • Familiarity with Opera or similar systems.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Effective time management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Capability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, and twist.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals.
