Endoscopy Technician

Job Summary:

The Detroit Medical Center is seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our team. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting our medical team in endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assist endoscopists with endoscopy procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Clean and disinfect equipment and instruments according to hospital policies and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assist with patient transportation and positioning for endoscopy procedures.
• Observe patient condition and report any changes to the RN or physician.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of related work experience in a hospital or patient care setting.
• Completion of Anatomy and Physiology preferred.

Working Conditions:

This position requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations is essential.
