The Electromechanical Assembly Specialist will play a crucial role in the assembly of prototype electromechanical products within a dynamic engineering laboratory setting. This position requires regular interaction with project stakeholders to grasp daily responsibilities in a high-energy engineering atmosphere.

  • Adhere to both verbal and written instructions for the assembly of prototype products.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to establish optimal assembly techniques for new product lines.
  • Propose modifications to assembly processes aimed at minimizing product costs and reducing assembly duration.
  • Revise assembly protocols and Bills of Materials based on analytical insights.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineers in the development of efficient work cells.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics and/or electromechanical assembly.
  • An associate degree or higher in manufacturing or mechanical engineering is advantageous.
  • Proficient in the use of various hand tools including screwdrivers, torque drivers, wrenches, and pliers.
  • Experience in soldering techniques.
  • Certifications and experience in PCBA through-hole and SMT are beneficial.
  • Fabrication skills, such as operating a hand drill or drill press, are a plus.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to convey complex or sensitive information effectively and work towards consensus.
