Position Overview

This role is essential for overseeing the financial integrity of our organization. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the following key functions:

  • Take charge of the general ledger, ensuring accurate maintenance across all balance sheet and income accounts, including conducting monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and bank statements for multiple entities.
  • Analyze the monthly Profit and Loss statements to verify the precision of expenses, invoice billing, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and profit margins on a per-unit basis as well as for joint venture members.
  • Lead the monthly closing process while adhering to established key performance indicators.
  • Prepare and present the monthly financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
  • Ensure that invoices are matched with pre-approved purchase orders prior to processing payments.
  • Oversee all aspects of prepaid expenses and accruals, collaborating closely with the Accounts Payable team.
  • Manage inventory processes, including counts and audits, to maintain accurate records.
  • Perform extensive data entry tasks within the inventory management system.
  • Assist in coordinating external audit activities and preparing for the annual financial statement audit.
  • Engage in special projects as directed by the Controller.
  • This position will be pivotal in our transition from QuickBooks Online to NetSuite, providing an opportunity to become proficient in NetSuite and Parity Factory for inventory management.
  • Demonstrate reliability by starting job responsibilities on time, remaining focused throughout the assigned shift, and attending all scheduled meetings.
  • Monitor all incoming invoices for accuracy within the Accounts Payable process.
  • Track incoming payments against the Accounts Receivable report.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

A background in Public Accounting is advantageous.

Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and/or other accounting software is essential.
