Mechanical Engineer for Semiconductor Equipment

Job Description

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop innovative mechanical design concepts and feasibility studies for CIP/R&D project proposals.
  • Participate in formal and informal design reviews to contribute and generate discussion on various design aspects.
  • Specify, supervise, and perform engineering analysis of complex scope in areas such as wafer transfer methods, mechanism design, and wafer temperature management.
  • Design, develop, and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes for handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts and components.
  • Manage communications and expectations with internal and external customers and vendors to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Work with SAP, Pro-E (Creo), Sharepoint, and other software applications to properly manage and document projects.
  • Solve engineering problems using analytical techniques and engineering knowledge such as thermodynamics, heat transfer, measurement control, stress analysis, and Finite Element Analysis.

**Requirements:**

  • Strong skills in change management, problem solving, communication, customer orientation, product technology, global business perspective, personal effectiveness, project management, team skills, and quality.
  • Knowledge of systems and software necessary to perform job function, including ProEngineer WildFire, SAP, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and AutoCad.
  • Ability to work under pressure to design cost-effective solutions with serviceability and manufacturability.
  • Ability to influence others, act as a mentor, lead, and/or supervise projects.
