Diesel Technician Specialist for Complex Engine Repairs

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Cummins in Miami Lakes, FL. This role involves working on engine repairs and maintenance for our Distribution Business.

The ideal candidate will have intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products, including troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds. Additionally, they should be proficient in utilizing computers/software for diagnostic work and able to complete required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, and warranty claims.

Responsibilities include adhering to Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, as well as reporting any issues/incidents to their supervisor.

To be successful in this role, the following is preferred:

Technician Level II: Some relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products in-scope for a diesel technician at this location; primarily engaged in moderately complex maintenance and repair; some exposure to moderate or complex diagnostics, requires limited direct supervision, may provide basic training or guidance to new technicians.

Significant relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on most or all of products in-scope for a technician at this location; frequently engaged in complex diagnosis and repair; requires minimal to no supervision; ability to effectively train and guide less experienced technicians of varying skillsets.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary rate is commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

This position is part of the FTA pool and subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. Ongoing random drug and alcohol testing will also be conducted.
