Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Family or Internal Medicine Physician to become part of our integrated regional medical facility, which caters to over 160,000 residents in Isanti County and neighboring regions.
Our Hospitalists deliver exceptional care with the expertise of a large medical system while serving a close-knit community.As a Hospitalist, you will act as the primary physician for patients during their hospital stay, providing comprehensive medical care and treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
Act as the primary physician for hospitalized patients.
Review and analyze patients' medical histories while gathering, prioritizing, and synthesizing relevant health data.
Evaluate and coordinate information to make informed decisions regarding patient care.
Provide education, consultation, and intervention to patients and their families.
Collaborate with patients to enhance their health and well-being.
Practice with consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.
Participate in peer review and quality assurance processes as needed.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Practice Environment:
Our facility has 6 full-time equivalent Hospitalists and over 250 hospitalists within the Allina Health network.
86 licensed beds available.
13-16 patient encounters on weekdays.
Telehealth services cover night shifts.
Full-time day/evening shifts with a 7 on, 7 off schedule.
Qualifications:
MD, DO, or equivalent foreign training required.
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Active, unrestricted medical license in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain one).
Ability to secure and maintain Minnesota DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Meet credentialing and hospital privileges criteria as applicable.
ACLS/BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.
Our medical center, located just north of a major metropolitan area, combines clinic and hospital services to provide comprehensive care to the residents of Isanti County and surrounding areas.
With a workforce of 800 employees and over 60 physicians, our facility offers a wide range of medical, surgical, and specialty care services, including substance abuse treatment, mental health services, and wound care.
Outpatient services include same-day clinic visits, surgery, infusion therapy, an eye clinic, optical shop, and retail pharmacy. Our center is also recognized as a certified Virginia Piper Cancer Institute and Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute location.Allina Health is a not-for-profit organization with a network of over 90 clinics and 10 hospitals across the region, including western Wisconsin.
