Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Summary:

The Field Service Technician is a critical member of our team at Sloan Security Group, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our security-related equipment. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer support and training on equipment operations and maintenance
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various security-related equipment, including vehicle barriers, operated bollards, and gates
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, problems, and concerns, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Utilize networking systems, including IP addresses, computer networks, radio frequencies, IP cameras, access control, and radar systems
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities, and provide regular status updates to relevant parties
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects, and promote training and growth within the team
  • Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards, and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the field, with a strong background in security and barrier systems
  • Specific experience or certifications from major gate and security manufacturers, such as Gibraltar, HySecurity, Delta, Alvarado, and Boon Edom
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and to prioritize tasks effectively

Working Conditions:

The Field Service Technician will work in a variety of environments, including extreme temperatures, and may be required to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds. The ability to detect machinery noises, read gauges, and measurements, and to properly utilize equipment provided is essential.
