Performance Optimal Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Class Instructor to enhance our wellness programs. Our organization is committed to a comprehensive approach to health and recovery, aiming to empower clients to lead healthier lives. Each client receives a personalized Optimal Health Assessment, enabling us to customize their care plan according to their individual needs through a variety of services.
Position Summary: The Class Instructor will take charge of conducting diverse fitness classes, including Technogym Cycles/Spin, Technogym Rowers, Pilates mat, yoga, and barre. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership qualities, a genuine enthusiasm for promoting a healthy lifestyle, and the capability to foster an engaging and motivating atmosphere for participants.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver classes with vigor and enthusiasm, inspiring participants to reach their fitness objectives.
- Incorporate technology, especially Technogym equipment, to elevate the class experience and support optimal performance.
- Conduct classes in accordance with the studio's philosophy, emphasizing the four pillars of fitness and encouraging participants to utilize recovery services post-class.
- Work in collaboration with floor trainers to ensure efficient setup and breakdown of equipment before and after sessions.
- Adjust class schedules to allow adequate time for equipment transitions and changes.
- Advocate for the use of recovery services among participants, highlighting the significance of post-workout recovery for overall health and performance.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in fitness instruction and Technogym equipment utilization.
- Engage in continuous training and development opportunities offered by the studio.
Qualifications:
- Certified fitness instructor with a recognized credential (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM).
- Prior experience leading group fitness classes, ideally with familiarity in using Technogym equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage participants.
- Understanding of exercise science principles and the capacity to customize workouts for diverse populations.
- CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, to accommodate class schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in specialized fitness areas such as Pilates or barre.
- Experience with recovery services or knowledge of recovery techniques.
- Background in customer service or hospitality settings.
