Anchorage, Alaska, United States MRG Exams Full time
Job Description

MRG Exams, a leading provider of independent medical examinations, is seeking a skilled Physiatrist to join our team as an Independent Medical Evaluator (IME). As an IME, you will play a vital role in the disability benefits process for United States Veterans.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive medical assessments on veterans through our secure web portal. This will involve reviewing medical health records and documenting exam findings using condition-specific forms known as Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs).

It is essential to note that this is not a treating role, and your primary focus will be on providing objective medical opinions to support the VA's disability determinations. You will NOT make disability determinations; instead, your expertise will help inform the VA's decision-making process.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work independently, utilizing your analytical skills to review large electronic medical records and document key data points. Your attention to detail and ability to analyze complex information will be crucial in completing DBQs accurately and efficiently.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who can manage their time effectively, meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality work standards. The ideal candidate should be proficient in typing, have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • A current license as a Physiatrist
  • Board Certification in either Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology
Benefits
