Job Summary

The Patient Financial Advocate will serve as a liaison between patients, hospitals, and government agencies to connect uninsured individuals with medical assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen patients to determine eligibility for federal, state, and county medical assistance programs
  • Complete and submit applications for medical assistance
  • Document patient interactions and case outcomes in company and hospital systems
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients
  • Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, and social workers to ensure seamless patient care
  • Communicate with patients and government agencies to resolve enrollment and renewal issues
  • Assist patients with gathering necessary documentation and arranging transportation as needed
  • Inform patients of approval or denial of medical assistance in a timely manner
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior hospital experience preferred
  • Adaptability and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Valid driver's license
