Position Overview: The Imaging Science Lab Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the educational journey of students within the Imaging Science programs. This position is essential for fostering a productive learning environment and enhancing the practical skills of students.

About Tacoma Community College: Located in a vibrant community, Tacoma Community College (TCC) serves a diverse student body of approximately 12,000 individuals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in mastering scanning techniques, particularly in abdominal, small parts, and OB/GYN protocols.
  • Monitor student progress within the laboratory environment, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate closely with faculty members to address student concerns and enhance the educational experience.
  • Coordinate open lab schedules to ensure accessibility for all Imaging Sciences students.
  • Maintain an inventory of laboratory supplies and communicate needs to relevant faculty and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited sonography program.
  • ARDMS registration in abdomen/small parts and OB/GYN.
  • Experience as a clinical instructor in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of students and colleagues.
