Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing projects from planning to commissioning, ensuring key objectives are met.
  • Assisting in the formulation of project scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Coordinating in-house and consulting design teams to deliver quality results.
  • Setting design criteria and reviewing documents throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Managing the acquisition of permits, codes, and regulatory approvals.
  • Handling procurement tasks, including bid package preparation and subcontract writing.
  • Organizing construction trades and managing subcontractor agreements.
  • Overseeing project budgets and managing expense approvals.
  • Administering contracts and change orders effectively.
  • Supervising equipment installations and providing on-site oversight.
  • Conducting project punch-list inspections to ensure quality standards.
  • Maintaining comprehensive project records and close-out documentation.
  • Interfacing with clients and all project stakeholders at various sites.
  • Researching and implementing project management best practices.
  • Supporting the growth of talent within our organization.

Travel Requirements

This role involves projects located across the United States and Canada, necessitating regular collaboration with owners, A/E teams, subcontractors, and building officials at client facilities and construction sites. Expect overnight travel of no less than 50% throughout the year.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a design-build or general contracting environment, collaborating with various engineering disciplines and architects.
  • Experience or education in MEP industrial construction projects, particularly in food and beverage or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Knowledge of building construction, project scheduling, cost estimation, and safety protocols.
  • Experience with a general contractor is highly preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
  • Familiarity with sanitary environments is advantageous.
  • Willingness to meet the overnight travel requirement of at least 50% throughout the year.
