About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead our engineering team at Unreal Gigs. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget, while also mentoring and guiding junior developers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Software Development Lifecycle: Oversee the entire development lifecycle of complex software projects, from initial requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  2. Mentorship and Team Development: Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and best practices to junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
  3. Technical Leadership: Make strategic technology decisions, balance technical debt, performance optimization, and future scalability, and ensure that our software meets the highest standards of quality and performance.
  4. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  5. Code Quality and Best Practices: Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices within the team, ensuring that all code is clean, efficient, and scalable.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, Go, or JavaScript, with a deep understanding of object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Software Architecture: Experience designing scalable, high-performance systems and leading the development of complex applications.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Proven experience mentoring and guiding junior developers.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent debugging skills, identifying root causes of issues and leading efforts to resolve them.
  • Database and API Knowledge: Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, as well as API design (RESTful, GraphQL).

The estimated salary for this role is $145,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
