Phlebotomy Specialist

Job Summary

As a Phlebotomist at Rochester Regional Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe and effective blood collection for accurate analysis. You will serve as a laboratory liaison between patients, nursing personnel, and house staff, demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate individual patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by explaining the procedure, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Collect blood specimens via venipuncture and skin puncture, ensuring complete and accurate specimens for testing
• Prepare specimens for processing and complete associated paperwork
• Transport specimens to the specified area

Working Conditions

This is a full-time evening position, working 2pm-10:30pm. The physical demands of this role include frequent walking, standing, or squatting, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.

Compensation
