Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective blood collection for accurate analysis. You will serve as a laboratory liaison between patients, nursing personnel, and house staff, demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate individual patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient with all necessary information about the procedure; ensure patient is comfortable and safe
  • Collect blood specimens via venipuncture and skin puncture; ensure complete and accurate specimens for testing; prepare specimens for processing and complete any associated paperwork
  • Transportation of required specimens/labels to specified area
