This full-time role involves the meticulous preparation and management of electronic artwork files provided by clients. The Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with Customer Service Representatives and the Production Manager to ensure that all artwork is accurately processed for production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare electronic art separations based on client-supplied artwork, adhering to internal job specifications and printer requirements.
  • Perform color corrections and adjustments to ensure alignment with specified color targets.
  • Utilize internal printing software to send files for production.
  • Manage multiple projects across various stages of production.
  • Communicate effectively with Customer Service Representatives and the Production Manager to understand client expectations and file specifications.
  • Identify and address any discrepancies in files, promptly notifying clients as necessary.
  • Operate design software including Adobe Creative Cloud, Esko applications, AGFA, and Digitech.
  • Adjust prepress settings according to unique finishing requirements.
  • Assist the production team in troubleshooting any printing issues that arise.
  • Create and distribute both electronic and hard copy proofs for client review.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of departmental work instructions.
  • Maintain organized digital files on servers and in job folders.
  • Facilitate external communications and file transfers as needed.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct self-checks and proofread the work of colleagues in accordance with operational procedures prior to finalizing proofs.
  • Adhere to established safety policies and procedures within the facility.
  • Engage in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Exhibit a willingness to learn new technologies, including software and hardware upgrades.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of color theory and correction techniques.
  • Possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules and overtime as required.
  • Ability to solve problems independently with minimal supervision.
