Job Summary

Metairie Bank is seeking a skilled Commercial Banking Specialist to join our team in Mandeville. As a Commercial Banking Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining close relationships with commercial clients, identifying business opportunities, and structuring creative loan products to facilitate sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and retain commercial business by meeting with prospects and customers to achieve sales goals.
  • Develop a broad knowledge base of commercial and other products and services, including loan policy, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Gather financial and business information, perform financial analyses, and participate in team credit decisions to close sales.
  • Continuously develop a network of outside referral sources for new business.
  • Ensure work is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in originating commercial loans, construction loans, and other portfolio-type products.
  • Knowledge of wholesalers, rate sheets, and underwriting processes.
