Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer

At KPMG, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a remote work opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with internal virtualization operations and engineering teams to gather requirements and build as well as deploy appropriate tools.
  • Provide technical leadership in the development, integration, and testing of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), supporting multiple geographic locations, network enclaves, and virtual desktop pools.
  • Offer input on the overall technology plan for the organization, ensuring specific technologies integrate effectively with other aspects of the network security technical infrastructure.
  • Collaborate and work effectively with different technology teams and vendors delivering complete networking solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum seven years of recent experience in virtualization design and engineering while managing and supporting large-scale projects and automation.
  • Must have experience with cloud-hosted VDI.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Experienced in engineering, operations, and architecture of VD (NetScaler technologies as well as able to recommend ways to enhance productivity and visibility through standard third-party solutions.
  • Progressive roles from administrator to senior engineer.
  • Background with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix DaaS, Citrix NetScaler/ADC/VPX, Citrix Gateway Service, Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM), Citrix App Layering, Citrix XenServer, Microsoft Hyper V, VMWare ESXi.
  • Capable of designing new VDI environments and supporting technology solutions.
  • Good understanding of multi-site non-persistent and persistent VDI environments.
