- Determine patient eligibility for Medicaid EVS and identify referral and preauthorization needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering calls, greeting patients, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Accurately document patient information in our electronic health record, ensuring compliance with record access and data protection policies.
- Obtain patient vital signs, interview, and prepare patients for medical examinations, assisting our providers as needed.
- Exemplify the I.C.A.R.E. behaviors to enhance the patient experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One year of clerical/billing experience in a medical office setting.
- Experience operating multi-line phone systems, fax machines, photocopiers, PCs, credit card machines, glucometers, EKG machines, and other medical equipment.
- CMA, RMA, or AAMA certification.
- Medical Interpretation certification for bilingual/multilingual interpreters.
- American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification.
This role requires exposure to blood-borne pathogens and involves heavy physical demands, including lifting up to 100 pounds.
