About the Role

Gastro Health is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support our team of healthcare professionals. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and room patients, ensuring efficient patient flow
  • Update patient medical charts with accurate and timely documentation
  • Manage phone triage and take appropriate action under the direction of the provider
  • Administer treatments and procedures in accordance with physician orders
  • Provide patient education and personal care to promote comfort and well-being
  • Process prescription refills under the direction of providers
  • Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, managers, and providers
  • Follow safety procedures in compliance with OSHA and state health department guidelines
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years experience as a medical assistant (AAMA certification preferred)
  • Medical terminology knowledge required
