Finance Director Job Description

The Amenity Collective is seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to lead the financial activities of Pearl Pools and its family of companies. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving financial reporting compliance and partnering with the CFO to achieve business results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a team to drive day-to-day financial activities, including order to cash, procurement, and general ledger accounting, in line with company objectives.
  • Lead month-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP within reporting deadlines.
  • Analyze financial performance and partner with branch leaders to review financials on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain a strong control environment in compliance with SOX.
  • Primary owner of audit support and maintenance of SOX schedules.
  • Maintain financial reporting systems used in day-to-day financial management activities.
  • Partner with the CEO on commercial objectives to grow business results, including financial modeling of proposed solutions and forecast projected impacts.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures for each of the ongoing finance work streams that supports the business.
  • Assist in company-wide new system implementation efforts and new transaction, merger, or acquisition evaluation as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years in a mid-market or larger finance and accounting environment.
  • Proficiency in monthly accounting close procedures with consistent delivery to deadlines.
  • Proficient in US GAAP.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple workstreams while prioritizing critical items across multiple finance function responsibilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals across functions and at all organizational levels, including executive management and operating personnel.
  • Establishing and maintaining an effective internal control environment.
  • Experience in Salesforce and Workday preferred.
  • Ability to travel on an as-needed basis.
