About the Role:

The Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) is a high-level executive accountable for formulating and executing strategic HR initiatives and policies that align with the company's mission and objectives. The VP of HR will prioritize the establishment of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all labor laws and regulations. This position demands robust leadership, strategic insight, and proficient people management capabilities.

Key Contributions:

  • Policy and Procedure Formulation: Design, implement, and uphold HR policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with all labor laws and regulations.
  • Strategic HR Development: Collaborate with the executive leadership to devise and execute strategic HR plans that resonate with the company's mission and objectives.
  • Compliance Oversight: Monitor and ensure adherence to employment laws, regulations, and best practices. Conduct regular audits and evaluations to identify and mitigate HR-related risks.
  • Talent Acquisition and Development: Supervise the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes. Create and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain exceptional talent.
  • People Operations Management: Oversee all facets of people operations, including employee lifecycle management, HRIS, and HR analytics.
  • Organizational Culture Enhancement: Design and implement initiatives to enrich organizational culture and employee engagement. Promote a positive and inclusive workplace atmosphere.
  • Employee Relations Management: Address employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and resolve conflicts. Foster a constructive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Employer Branding Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to enhance the company's employer brand and attract top-tier talent.
  • Performance Management Systems: Establish and implement performance management frameworks to assess and enhance employee performance. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees.
  • Compensation and Benefits Structuring: Design and oversee competitive compensation and benefits programs. Conduct regular assessments to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions Oversight: Manage HR components of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the HR budget and demonstrate the return on investment of HR initiatives.
  • Training and Development Programs: Develop and implement training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career progression.
  • External Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry peers and external HR consultants.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leadership: Lead and support DEI initiatives and programs to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Monitor HR metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Provide regular updates to the executive leadership.
  • HR Team Leadership: Lead and manage the HR team, offering guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and alignment with the company's objectives.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in human resource management, with an emphasis on compliance, policy formulation, and strategic planning.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven capability to develop and implement HR strategies and programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with HR information systems and software.
