We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant I to join our team at Lakewood Continuing Care Center. As a member of our Long Term Care Unit, you will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of nursing staff.
Responsibilities- Communicate and interact with patients, families, physicians, peers, and other healthcare members to maximize successful customer outcomes and unit function.
- Precept team members to job function and orient patients to hospital environment and routine.
- Attend and serve on one unit committee or educational peer opportunity to improve quality and engagement.
- Document all aspects of patient care in a timely manner and participate in unit quality improvement initiatives.
- Communicate appropriate information and patient needs to oncoming staff at change of shift and to RN in a timely manner for follow-up.
- Provide care in accordance with the patient's plan of care and label and deliver specimens per policy.
- Maintain a safe environment complying with NLH policies and procedures and report and directly address environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.
- Required: Certified Nursing Assistant and High School Diploma/General Educational Development (GED).
- Lifting, moving, and loading 30 to 50 pounds.
- Alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends).
Eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus, paid out in installments with a work commitment. *NLH member employees and those with a service break less than one year are not eligible.*
