Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant I to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and in-direct patient care under the direction of nursing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate and interact with patients, families, physicians, peers, and other healthcare members to ensure successful customer outcomes and maximize unit function.
  • Precept team members on job functions and orient patients to hospital environment and routine.
  • Attend and participate in unit committees or educational peer opportunities to improve quality and engagement.
  • Document all aspects of patient care in a timely manner and participate in unit quality improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate patient information and needs to oncoming staff at change of shift and to RN for follow-up.
  • Provide care in accordance with the patient's plan of care and label and deliver specimens per policy.
  • Maintain a safe environment, complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures, and report environmental hazards and patient safety policy violations.
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certification is required.
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) is required.
  • Lifting, moving, and loading 30 to 50 pounds is a requirement of this position.
  • Alternate shift schedules, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, may be required.
