Girard Estate seeks a skilled Human Resource Generalist to support the functions of the HR department, including recruitment and talent management.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will report to the Human Resources Director and be responsible for various tasks, including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified job applicants. They will also support training and development programs, maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations, and perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit and hire top talent by collaborating with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies.
  • Develop and implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs to enhance workplace morale and productivity.
  • Support the review and tracking of mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; and occupational health and safety.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate when necessary, and act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least two years of human resource management experience, preferably in an union environment.
  • SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $42,500 - $52,500 per year, based on the job requirements and location. The successful candidate will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
