Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee our quality assurance initiatives and ensure the highest standards of product safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the coordination, execution, and ongoing management of the Quality Assurance Program.
  • Supervise daily activities of Quality Control Technicians and QA Leads.
  • Identify and address quality and food safety concerns, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Conduct internal audits, as well as third-party and customer audits, to verify compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Perform safety and quality assessments on finished products.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and records related to quality assurance.
  • Manage the hold and release process for products.
  • Verify monitoring records for HACCP Critical Control Points (CCPs).
  • Provide independent oversight of operational processes, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.
  • Develop and implement training programs to meet customer, company, and regulatory specifications, covering topics such as product quality standards and food safety.
  • Assist in investigating non-conformance reports and customer complaints, ensuring thorough follow-up.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Support additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Agricultural Science is essential.
  • Experience and knowledge in Food Quality and Food Safety systems, with familiarity in food regulatory compliance.
  • Preferred experience with USDA regulations.
  • Certifications such as PCQI, SQF, and HACCP are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of food microbiology and chemistry.
  • Knowledge of FDA and USDA food regulations.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office, with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to mentor and guide others.
  • Effective communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
