Position Overview:

The RN in the Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process, adhering to the medical plan of care, and following organizational protocols.

  • Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care in the perioperative environment for diverse patient populations.

  • Report directly to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Qualifications:
  • Must hold an unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are mandatory.

Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in PreOp PACU, ICU, or critical care settings.
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of surgical patients is essential.
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their application is required.
  • Ability to adapt swiftly to changing patient conditions is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork are crucial for interacting with staff, patients, and physicians.
