Status: Full Time, Non‐Exempt
Summary: The People Operations Manager collaborates with the Associate Director and Executive Director to oversee a comprehensive range of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, exit processes, payroll management, and benefits administration. This role also involves the organization and scheduling of the annual training calendar while ensuring that all performance and employment-related documentation is maintained confidentially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison with HR systems; manage and update systems with pertinent documents. Cultivate expertise in HR systems to enhance service delivery.
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of new policies and procedures.
- Oversee compliance with OSHA logs, Worker's Compensation documentation, and Department of Labor filings, ensuring timely completion.
- Maintain and refresh employee records, including tracking training data in the database. Conduct regular audits to guarantee accuracy.
- Process changes in position status.
- Administer and assist staff with benefits options.
- Support the recruitment process.
- Manage job postings across various platforms.
- Handle the reception of resumes and application forms, schedule interviews, and conduct background and reference checks.
- Engage in onboarding activities, providing new hires with essential policies and procedures.
- Compile and prepare routine reports.
- Maintain all performance appraisal and disciplinary documentation in centralized files. Collaborate with supervisors to provide support in performance management.
- Assist the Finance department with payroll and related tasks as required.
- Lead the Safety Committee in alignment with Workers Compensation Commission standards.
- Oversee volunteer recruitment and tracking.
- Participate in the Personnel Committee.
- Serve as an ambassador for the Susan B. Anthony Project, engaging in events, programs, and advocacy initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to further the agency's mission.
Qualifications:
- Education and experience gained through relevant training, employment, or volunteer roles (minimum of 3 years).
- Proficient in human resources databases.
- Familiarity with payroll systems for effective payroll administration.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or other relevant software.
- Exhibit positive communication and proactive conflict resolution skills.
- Able to collaborate with other agencies, systems, boards, and volunteers.
- Must have daily access to a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of counseling and social services.
- Ability to understand and integrate the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence into work.
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 25 pounds.
- Possess patience and a sense of humor.
