Job Summary
NHS Management Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Certified Activities Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing activity programs that meet the emotional, recreational, and social needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activity programs with residents, their families, staff members, and community agencies through interviews, consultations, and direct involvement in the programs.
- Develop and coordinate facility volunteer programs.
- Assist in identifying and monitoring the spiritual, social, recreational, and emotional needs of residents through routine interviews, visits, and consultations with residents and their families.
- Complete activity portion on the resident assessment instrument and care plan in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in Care Plan meetings.
Requirements:
- Previous Activity Supervisor experience preferred.
- Must be self-motivated and work independently, with good interpersonal skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Experience in Long Term Care setting preferred.
