ORIX USA is on the lookout for an Information Security Specialist to enhance our dynamic security team. In this role, you will evaluate, strategize, and implement protective measures to safeguard the organization against potential breaches and threats to our data, networks, and systems. Your mission will be to minimize vulnerabilities by utilizing the right technologies and methodologies to thwart, identify, and manage cyber risks. The Information Security Specialist will monitor, evaluate, and counteract threats posed by cyber adversaries to our information systems. You will deliver strategic evaluations, tactical insights, and recommendations aimed at risk mitigation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a top-tier cyber defense strategy by collaborating with technical teams, incident management, legal, compliance, and cybersecurity personnel to gain a comprehensive understanding of the motivations, goals, and actions of cyber threat actors.
  • Execute cybersecurity protocols and procedures to ensure the mitigation of cyber threats.
  • Act as a vital member of the incident response unit.
  • Provide timely updates and guidance to management regarding incidents and preventative measures.
  • Formulate policies and advocate for necessary changes that align with organizational cybersecurity initiatives or required enhancements.
  • Document cybersecurity processes comprehensively.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend and implement risk reduction strategies.
  • Offer leadership, training, and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Collaborate effectively with cybersecurity, technical teams, and business units.
  • Lead efforts in implementing various security technology enhancements and initiatives.
  • Perform both static and dynamic threat analyses.
  • Utilize expertise in data, information, processes, organizational interactions, and analytical skills to manage acquisition programs effectively.
  • Oversee and maintain data governance, protection, and lifecycle management.
  • Fulfill responsibilities related to hardware, software, and information system acquisition programs and other program management policies.
  • Some travel may be required.
Qualifications, Skills, & Experience
  • A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Information Security is preferred. Five (5) years of relevant cyber experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security/Cybersecurity within enterprise-level organizations.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Customer service-oriented with proven skills in process improvement.
  • Strong comprehension of the cyber threat landscape, vulnerability management, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Innovative problem-solving, research, and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Thorough understanding of data security, classification, and loss prevention strategies.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to task completion.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, CEH, CISM, or CISSP are advantageous.
