Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide direct patient care in clinics and patient homes, administering medications, interviewing patients, and performing routine laboratory work.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and immunizations under the supervision of a RN or Physician
  • Interview patients for medical histories and counsel patients on health-related issues
  • Teach and instruct patients on proper health practices
  • Obtain lab specimens and perform routine laboratory work
  • Take vital signs and refer abnormal findings to a physician
  • Prepare patients for physical examinations and assist physicians during examinations
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of nursing techniques, public health practices, and quality assurance concepts
  • Skills in performing technical procedures, communication, and interacting with clients and the general public
  • Ability to document clearly and accurately using the health department's accepted form of documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience in phlebotomy and laboratory procedures
  • Prior experience in a public health or medical office setting
  • Bilingual
